What is a Spell and what do they do?

Spells are rituals performed for a specific purpose. They involve special words for that purpose, with special tools for preparation and casting, with it being done only at certain times, depending on the task being handled. A typical Spell is either, positive  (love, healing, good luck, promotions, etc.) or negative (bindings, quitting smoking, loosing weight, bad relationships, etc.). Positive Spell craft is performed during the waxing moon phase with the full moon being the best day. Negative  Spell craft is performed during the waning moon phase with the new moon being  the best time to perform your ritual. The day of the week is important as is the time of day for all of these workings. Without sufficient study of what you want your Spell to do, and accurately performing it at the proper time, you could get either no response to your working, or you could even get a negative response, the opposite of what you intended.

As you can see, details means everything in Spell workings and you walk away  from your Spell casting with nothing in your hand. You only have the knowledge that the Spell is done. For most people, they want to have something to see and touch and feel. It is only the true believer that can accept that in time, the universe will comply with their Spell request.

The only example of Spell casting I can come up with outside the Craft, is nightly prayers. Place, time, actions, words requesting need or want, it's all there. And here too, you walk away with nothing in your hand. You have to decide what works for you and you have to decide to believe. Doubt has no place in the Spell Craft. It is by faith in what you want, and in how you ask that makes this different. It is up to you to ask and believe.
