Dark Moment ....A Poem

Into the depths of our own despair 

Waiting for the hour of greatest need

As tortures trek from shore to shore

Never ending chaos in whispered hush

The heart is darkened into black

To mourn the death of hopes return

On bloody rivers float the faithful

Despised for lies told in innocent death

Idol crashed upon the ground, dust to dust

Eternal hell fires burn the blackened soul’s memory

Test and fall the angel lost

Over time the intentions told

Daylight gone to pennied eyes

After all the cuts to stay alive

Yesterday gives tomorrow’s woes

Relive the moment of our demise

In quiet stillness lay my soul untouched

Perhaps returned a love and life, denied.
