Bio: Growing up in musical family, made its mark on Karen. Her mother is a classically trained vocalist and violinist and her grandmother’s family ran a music school in rural Georgia. Born in Enid, OK, Karen has been singing in church and school choirs all her life. She has been a member of the Durham Chorale for the past 12 years and performs with the Durham Choraleers at various community and private functions.  As well as singing in TAB, Karen also sings in another local band, Chix ‘n’ Ribz. Music is an integral part of her life.  The quote by T.S. Eliot expresses it well... “There is no feeling, except the extremes of fear and grief, that does not find relief in music.”
